About Us
Mission Statement
As America’s foremost summer theatre, Ogunquit Playhouse produces world-class entertainment that creates unforgettable experiences for our audiences. We are dedicated stewards of an iconic and historic theatre, collaborating with extraordinary artists and creatives to shape the future of American theatre. Our commitment extends to being a driving force of economic impact for our region and serving as a premier cultural destination.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA)
Ogunquit Playhouse strives to value and respect all people and celebrate all individuals regardless of age, race, ethnicity, class, spiritual beliefs, gender identity and presentation, sexual orientation, and ability. Our goal is to empower artists and staff of all backgrounds and skill levels who have suffered harm or been diminished by the privilege of others.
Our commitment to this work is an ongoing journey of learning that requires us to be humble, active listeners, and willing participants in making The Playhouse a safe and uplifting place of employment and a welcoming space for our audiences. By reflecting these values, we hope to foster a deep sense of belonging for everyone on stage, behind the scenes, among our volunteer corps, and all audiences.
