OGUNQUIT Playhouse EXPERIENCE

HELPFUL INFORMATION WHEN VISITING OUR CAMPUS

POLICIES & GUIDELINES

Our mainstage productions often contain mature content, language, and themes that may not be suitable for all children. We leave it up to parents and families to determine what is appropriate for their young ones.

Full paid admission is required for ages 4 and above. Children under the age of 3 are free, so long as they remain on the lap of a parent or guardian.

Service animals are welcome. We ask you to inform the Box Office when purchasing tickets so they can prepare the Front of House team for your arrival.

Ogunquit Playhouse wants every guest who attends our performances to enjoy themselves. Anyone disrupting or hindering that enjoyment will be removed from the venue at the discretion of House Management.

Performance Run Times

Running times vary by production and can be found on each show page.

Seating Visibility

In cases where a tall person is seated in front of you making it challenging to see the stage, please locate a House Manager (wearing black vest) who can get you a seat cushion to elevate your view or potentially relocate you to other open seats without viewing obstructions.

Photos & Recordings

Photos may be taken before and after a show, but are strictly prohibited during the performance itself.

Seating & Late Arrivals

The theater opens 30 minutes before every performance. Late-arriving guests will be seated at the discretion of House Management.

Dress Code

As a relaxed seaside community, we only ask that you are appropriately dressed for a casual outing.

Eating & Drinking

Beverages and snacks purchased at Concessions are welcome inside the theater. House Management will not allow anything purchased outside our campus to be brought into the venue. Tailgating in our parking lot is a violation of Ogunquit town ordinance.

Smoking and Vaping anywhere on the Playhouse campus is expressly prohibited.

All electronic devices are required to be silenced or turned off during the performance.

Bags & Backpacks

FOR YOUR VISIT

Parking

Our campus opens 1 hour before each performance and parking is free. However, due to the design limitations of our property, most vehicles will be unable to exit the parking lots until after the performance. For those requiring more flexibility with parking, there are various paid lots available in Ogunquit within walking distance of The Playhouse.

Handicapped parking is available and we encourage dropoffs/pickups before and after each performance. Veteran’s parking is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Our volunteers are available to assist you with any additional parking needs.

If you are not holding tickets for the performance, you may only park in the designated BOX OFFICE spot. Attempting to park in any of our lots without tickets will prevent you from leaving until the end of the show.

Tickets

Entry to the theater is available by scanning tickets on your mobile device, our mobile app, or a printed copy you may bring from home. If you forget your tickets, not to worry. Our Box Office is happy to reprint them for you.

Restrooms

Restroom facilities are available in our Lobby and a separate building next to the Gazebo Bar.

Concessions & Gift Shop

Beverages and snacks are sold in The Lobby, Gazebo Bar, and Patio Bar. You must be at least 21 years old with a valid ID to purchase and consume alcohol. We reserve the right to refuse service to individuals who are visibly intoxicated

Our lobby Gift Kiosk sells Playhouse branded merchandise and other show-specific specialties.

Purchases can be made credit or debit card. No cash.

Air Conditioning & Heating

Our theater is air-conditioned in the Summer and heated in the Fall.

Stage Dooring

At the discretion of our cast members, Stage Door opportunities may be available outside on the patio (house right) following the performance.

ACCESSIBILITY

The Playhouse is all on one level with no stairs. Wheelchair seating can be purchased by calling the Box Office (207.646.5511). Bariatic seating without armrests is available for guests who find our seats restricting. Ushers are happy to assist guests with any mobility issues.

Assisted Listening Devices

Assisted listening devices — amplification headsets and T-Coil technology links to compatible hearing aids — are available at the Patron Services desk before each performance at no additional charge.

ASL & Open Captioning

Each production will have two ASL-interpreted and eight open captioned performances for guests who are deaf or hard of hearing. Specific dates are available on our show pages. Special seating for these performances can be purchased by calling the Box Office.
